Requirements

Four-year Business Degree or equivalent work experience.
Willingness to travel extensively and relocate to the Inter-Mountain (SLC) territory.
Four years of steel sales experience or qualified DDSM candidate
Demonstrated track record of growing new business, prospecting, developing, and closing accounts.

Nice To Haves

Masters’s degree in a Business-related field.
Steel plate sales experience.
Working knowledge of the Inter-Mountain / Western steel market and its end-user base (fabricators, OEMs, service centers).

Responsibilities

Lead the sales and marketing efforts for The Nucor Plate Group in the Inter-Mountain (SLC) territory in support of taking care of our customers.
Quoting and securing business: spot and contract.
Providing forecasts.
Recommending new business and customers.
Supporting the Plate Group and Nucor Enterprise’s strategic growth initiatives.
Participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork.
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
