About The Position

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a District Sales Manager to join our Golf Car team in a field role! The assigned territory encompasses the Northern region of Florida. In this role you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with golf facilities throughout the region. You will play key part in representing Yamaha at local PGA section events and educational seminars, ensuring a visible and impactful presence within the golfing community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in sales, with demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue and growth targets
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM tools
  • Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally (e.g., marketing, operations, finance)
  • Customer-focused approach with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment and lead through change
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common sales technology platforms
  • Willingness to travel as required 60-70% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to load golf cars, climb up and down small objects and lift a moderate amount of weight.

  • Experience with the golf industry or PGA professionals preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently schedule, coordinate and work with key decision makers at both current Yamaha Accounts, as well as competitive accounts, to continue to grow Yamaha’s Market-Share and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivate and strengthen current Yamaha partnerships while aggressively identifying, pursuing, and closing new fleet business opportunities to maximize revenue potential.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle—from lead generation and product demonstrations to proposal development, leasing approval guidance, and delivery/setup of new fleets.
  • Represent Yamaha at local PGA Section events, seminars, and related activities to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.
  • Provide reports as needed, manage databases, records, and goals.
  • Develop long-term, trust-based relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and tailored solutions that reinforce Yamaha’s reputation for excellence.
