Requirements

  • Proven experience in agricultural sales , preferably with fertilizer or crop protection products
  • Strong knowledge of local crops and market practices
  • Familiarity with fertilizer storage, application equipment, and product logistics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business goals
  • Plan and develop dealer /distributor network in specified territory according to the agreed market development strategy
  • Motivate dealers and distributors to promote a portfolio of products and services
  • Educate growers, dealers & distributors on new products
  • Conduct direct farm visits to growers to promote and sell a portfolio of product s
  • Conduct direct visits to dealers and distributors to assist in selling a portfolio of products
  • Sell and service equipment related to the application of fertilizer products
  • Sell storage tanks related to the storage of fertilizer products
  • Deliver fertilizer, parts & equipment, and storage tanks to dealers and farmers
  • Conduct grower meetings to promote the use of products
  • Attend farm shows to promote the use of products and services
  • Locate and develop test plot locations as they relate to the research & development program
  • Manage and collect accounts receivable as to keep receivables current
