About The Position

Imperial Beverage is seeking an experienced and driven District Sales Manager to lead a team of Account Managers in the Ann Arbor, MI area. This role involves guiding the team to help local bars, grocery stores, and restaurants with their beverage choices. The District Sales Manager will lead, manage, and hold their teams accountable while achieving sales goals. They will stay organized and motivated to impact sales, hire talent, and foster the professional growth of their team members. This is a full-time position requiring previous sales and leadership experience, availability Monday-Friday, and a willingness to reside in or relocate to Washtenaw County.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Sales and Business Marketing
  • Management and sales experience required
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Must live in assigned market
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate customer needs and special events
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with various types of people
  • Desire to stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge
  • Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and hold teams accountable while hitting goals.
  • Impact sales and hire talent.
  • Help the team grow professionally.
  • Check the schedule for the week to see what accounts and employees will be visited.
  • Create a plan for each stop, which can include product samples, reviewing sales numbers, and ensuring accounts succeed.
  • Check in with the team throughout the day to answer questions and provide support.
  • Train new employees, resolve issues, sample products with purchasers, merchandise, job shadow employees, provide coverage for sales routes, or ensure account standards are met.
  • Run sales reports for the team to track goals and identify sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present information at weekly sales meetings.
  • Lead and coach the team.
