Requirements

• Four years of professional civil engineering experience which includes three years in the appropriate speciality and one year of experience in directing the work of civil engineers.
• Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• For the Bridges and Transportation parentheticals, successful candidates with an out of state Professional Engineer license will be required to produce a valid Professional Engineer License issued by Pennsylvania within their initial six month probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve highway occupancy permits and special hauling permits for safety and compliance
• Provide technical direction to staff, consultants, and applicants on roadway design and construction requirements
• Lead meetings, review design plans, and work with internal and external partners to avoid construction conflicts
• Determine required security amounts, review submissions, and manage documents through project closeout
• Visit project sites, guide inspection teams, and resolve engineering issues during construction
• Maintain strong relationships with municipalities, industry partners, and legal representatives
