About The Position

The District Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, logistics, and management of the company’s materials supply chain. This role ensures the consistent and reliable fulfillment of medical device demand in alignment with company sales goals and customer needs. The District Operations Manager is expected to conduct all business activities in an honest, ethical, and lawful manner, in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, internal policies, the AdvaMed Code of Conduct, and all applicable industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and distribution in a supervisory role
  • Medical device industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of order management, inventory control, logistics, warehouse, and distribution processes
  • Demonstrated ability to develop procedures, train employees, and present information to various levels of management
  • Experience with ERP systems and shipping platforms (e.g., FedEx)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to operate with limited administrative support
  • Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret and apply policies effectively
  • Commitment to operational excellence, process improvement, and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in materials management and supply chain operations within the medical device industry to ensure consistent product availability for both internal and external customers
  • Partner with the VP of Operations to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and establish capacity to meet customer needs
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve key departmental metrics, including: Inventory levels and turns, Materials costs, Shipping expenses, On-time delivery performance
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers and Territory Leads to align demand planning and operational capacity
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental procedures, protocols, policies, and performance goals
  • Oversee cycle count processes, including analysis and resolution of inventory discrepancies (quantity and financial)
  • Manage the district’s returned materials/products process
  • Lead and support daily operations, training, and development of logistics personnel and applicable sales team members
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for logistics staff
  • Provide cross-functional support in other areas of the business as needed
