About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a District Operations Center Supervisor. This field hybrid position that is based out of our Calgary, AB Eaton location and requires travel to customer sites. The expected annual salary range for this role is $106000 - $133000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Under the direction of the Area Services Manager, the District Operations Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of service projects within the district. This role acts as a technical expert, leads a skilled team, ensures compliance with safety and operational standards, and serves as a key interface between customers and internal teams. The Supervisor drives operational excellence, supports strategic planning, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical field from an accredited institution/ or Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certification/Ticket
  • 5 years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems
  • Experience with directing and supervising a technical field service team and prior sales experience
  • Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical equipment
  • Business travel to customer sites required
  • Required to travel to United States for training on safety and Eaton products
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineering License
  • 8 plus years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems
  • Ability to provide leadership skills to FSR’s; support sales, profit and growth goals, while continually improving quality and customer levels
  • Demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction
  • Experience in developing business opportunities in industrial, utility, government, and institutional markets
  • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and Develop Team: Directly oversee field service representatives (technicians / technologists) to ensure adequate staffing for all jobs. Lead recruitment, training, talent assessment, goal setting, performance appraisal, and professional development to build a skilled and effective team. Foster employee growth and retention within the area.
  • Operational Leadership: Manage and coordinate service programs to optimize customer service and market penetration. Oversee project completion, ensuring adherence to safety, budget, and timeline requirements. Participate in commercial reviews, backlog management, and strategic planning to support market growth and district operations.
  • Customer and Technical Support: Serve as the primary contact for customers on technical and service-related issues. Deliver technical solutions, act as a mentor and backup for field personnel, and coordinate and resolve product warranty concerns promptly. Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers and develop new partnerships with municipalities, consultant firms, contractors, and distributors.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, implement safety programs, provide necessary safety equipment, and act as a safety liaison with customers. Oversee proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement by conducting regular field discoveries and training sessions.
  • Business and Process Management: Provide input to profit and strategic planning, submit monthly operations reports, and support tactical and strategic initiatives. Handle escalation procedures and make informed business decisions in a 24/7 service environment. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency.
  • Technical Excellence: Serve as a technical resource for service operations, offering expert guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders. Mentor and provide backup for field personnel, customers, and the sales team, ensuring technical challenges are addressed efficiently and fostering continuous learning and development.
