Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on District Marketing Director to lead marketing efforts for a high-profile, $60M campus dining program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of marketing experience (higher education or contract foodservice strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to influence and lead across cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence engaging large, diverse audiences
  • Expertise in social media strategy, merchandising, and promotion planning
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to connect strategy to results

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute a comprehensive, annual marketing strategy driving growth across residential dining, retail, and catering programs
  • Deliver measurable results tied to meal plan sales, retail performance, and guest engagement
  • Partner with operations, culinary, and client leadership to align marketing with business goals
  • Leverage social media, digital platforms, surveys, and focus groups to continuously assess guest satisfaction and uncover opportunities
  • Identify and launch new concepts, service models, and dining innovations that elevate the campus experience
  • Champion brand standards, merchandising excellence, and storytelling across all dining locations
  • Serve as a key liaison to the university community—collaborating with student groups, residential life, and campus leadership
  • Promote initiatives tied to sustainability, wellness, and dietary awareness
  • Build meaningful partnerships that strengthen Chartwells’ presence and impact on campus
  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale campus events, promotions, and engagement programs
  • Chair and inspire a cross-functional marketing committee of university and Chartwells stakeholders
  • Drive participation and excitement through creative, student-centric programming
  • Oversee creation of high-quality marketing collateral (digital, print, social, and experiential)
  • Ensure consistency of voice, brand identity, and messaging across all channels
  • Translate guest feedback and performance data into actionable insights and reporting
