As our District Manager, you'll provide strategic, hands-on leadership for multiple scrap metal recycling facilities throughout the Weber and Salt Lake counties - shaping safety culture, driving profitability, and developing strong leaders who deliver results. This is a highly visible leadership role where your decisions directly impact safety, customer experience, operational efficiency, and financial success.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills.

  • Comfort leading through change and complexity.
  • 5-10 years of managing multiple teams.
  • Managing teams in different locations a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture where safety comes first, set high standards and ensure consistent compliance across all locations.
  • Lead proactive hazard prevention and continuous improvement efforts, and hold teams accountable while empowering them to take ownership.
  • Drive strong, consistent performance across multiple facilities.
  • Oversee purchasing, processing, upgrading, and shipping operations.
  • Improve labor efficiency, throughput, and workflow.
  • Standardize best practices to create predictable high-quality results.
  • Ensure disciplined inventory control and shipping cadence.
  • Analyze performance data and key metrics to drive margin improvement and cost control initiatives.
  • Ensure operational decisions align with financial goals.
  • Coach and develop General Managers and Yard Foremen.
  • Strengthen leadership pipelines and bench strength.
  • Improve hiring quality and reduce turnover.
  • Foster a culture built on integrity, accountability, respect, and growth.
  • Develop reporting tools that drive clarity and accountability.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement structured improvement plans.
  • Ensure lasting results through follow-up and measurement.
