The District Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance, operations, and execution of PAQ stores within an assigned region. This position provides leadership and direction to store management teams, drives sales and profitability, monitors inventory, labor, shrink, and operational results, and ensures stores maintain company standards for customer service, merchandising, safety, compliance, and overall store conditions. The District Manager conducts regular store visits, coaches and develops store leaders, identifies performance opportunities, and partners with operations leadership to implement strategies that improve consistency, efficiency, and business results across the district.

Requirements

Comprehensive knowledge of grocery retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, sales forecasting, store conditions, and customer service standards.
Knowledge of sales, labor, inventory, shrink, productivity, and operational performance metrics.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, labor guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations related to grocery store operations.
Knowledge of shrink control, loss prevention, inventory accuracy, and asset protection practices.
Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management systems, labor/scheduling tools, reporting platforms, and core business applications, including Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
Strong leadership and people-management skills to guide store management teams, set clear expectations, coach performance, and drive accountability across assigned stores.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with store leadership, associates, customers, vendors, and internal business partners.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify root causes, resolve operational issues, address escalated concerns, and follow up on corrective actions.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple stores, competing priorities, store visits, follow-up items, deadlines, and reporting requirements efficiently.
Ability to develop and execute district-level action plans that support sales, profitability, labor, customer service, store conditions, and operational goals.
Ability to analyze sales, labor, shrink, inventory, productivity, customer service, and market data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and drive corrective action.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-store retail environment, prioritize competing demands, make sound decisions under pressure, and maintain professional composure.
Ability to motivate, mentor, coach, and develop store leaders and associates to foster accountability, collaboration, engagement, and consistent execution across assigned stores.
High school diploma or equivalent.
7+ years of experience as a Store Director is required.
Certification to operate an industrial forklift truck/pallet jack/WAVE is required.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage multiple retail grocery store operations within the assigned district
Drive sales, profitability, customer service, and operational execution across assigned stores
Conduct regular store visits to evaluate merchandising, store conditions, safety, sanitation, inventory, and overall execution
Review sales, labor, inventory, shrink, and operational results to identify opportunities and drive corrective action
Coach, develop, and hold store management teams accountable for performance, execution, and leadership expectations
Support staffing, succession planning, training, and performance management across assigned stores
Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, sanitation requirements, labor guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations
Monitor labor planning, scheduling, payroll control, and productivity to support operational goals
Execute merchandising, promotional, and marketing initiatives consistently across assigned stores
Establish and maintain productive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal business partners
Support resolution of escalated customer, associate, vendor, and operational issues
Oversee general safety conditions and ensure equipment is kept in good operating condition
