About The Position

Chemical Guys is a lifestyle brand with a worldwide following, driven by a passion for automotive detailing and the open road. We are committed to producing high-quality auto-detailing chemicals manufactured in California. Over the years, we have grown into an industry benchmark with a vast library of detailing knowledge and a global product distribution network. We are seeking proactive individuals to join our Detail Garage Team, a dynamic and evolving retail environment where voices matter and brand growth is a priority. Our stores are hands-on, consultative, and educational, focusing on live demonstrations, workshops, and expert advice. We value leaders from specialized retail backgrounds such as beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fitness, or specialty apparel, where education, product knowledge, and customer connection are paramount. No automotive or car care experience is required.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of retail leadership experience, including three years or more in a multi-unit or district management role.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze KPIs and drive profitable growth.
  • Passionate, hands-on leader who enjoys being in stores and working directly with teams and customers.
  • Experienced in driving consultative selling and customer engagement.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and highly accountable.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, retail reporting tools, and communication platforms.
  • Familiar with social media platforms and comfortable coaching stores on brand engagement.
  • Comfortable working in a highly visible role with regular partnership and collaboration across multiple HQ departments and leadership teams.
  • Resides within the Los Angeles market and able to travel throughout the region, including some overnight travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends for events.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced leading live product demonstrations, educational workshops, and skills-based classes, with the ability to coach and develop Store Managers on how to successfully host customer classes and community events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a diverse team, providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Drive sales performance and exceed targets through innovative strategies.
  • Ensure a great customer experience by engaging with customers and building relationships within the community.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Manage store operations, including inventory, loss prevention, and visual presentation.
  • Monitor and engage with social media posts, guiding and inspiring as needed.
  • Drive additional revenue in stores and build customer loyalty through monthly events and building community engagement.
