About The Position

The District Manager is responsible for ensuring that the district meets or exceeds revenue and profit goals, analyzing and appraising the effectiveness of district operations, promoting safe working conditions, and ensuring efficient delivery of services. This role involves monitoring financial plans, managing equipment, engaging in performance management of subordinate employees, and maintaining technical knowledge of product lines. The District Manager also communicates effectively with management and HR, keeps supervisors informed of district activities, and is responsible for timely submission of various reports and financial documents. Additionally, they ensure effective scheduling, coordinate equipment rental, manage vehicle repairs and parts, approve purchase orders, monitor employee DOT logs, and ensure quality customer service through customer calls. The position requires ensuring all paperwork is submitted by deadlines, preventing non-eligible drivers from operating company vehicles, reviewing vehicle usage for compliance, and organizing effective communication between operations supervisors, sales teams, and employees. The role also involves investigating service quality incidents and implementing corrective actions. This position is designated as safety sensitive.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram forms.
  • Ability to deal with problems associated with daily operations and business situations.
  • Ability to operate hand tools required.
  • Knowledge of all oilfield service and rental equipment utilized by OSES.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose increasingly complex business or technical problems and recommend solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully leading and supervising people and projects.
  • Ability to maintain composure when faced with conflict and ability to adjust as team role changes quickly and effectively.
  • Effective problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must maintain a safe driving record as prescribed by company policy.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude as well as one that reflects the Company’s culture.
  • Must successfully pass pre- and post-employment drug and alcohol tests per company policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate a crane truck and trailer preferred.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in field operations on relevant product lines offered by OSES preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of common best practices for the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the district meets or exceeds the revenue and profit goals of the current fiscal year budget.
  • Regularly and systematically analyze and appraise the effectiveness of district operations to ensure that established objectives are met, company policies observed, and prompt corrective action taken when necessary.
  • Proactively participate in the safety process to promote safe working conditions and ensure adherence to regulatory government and company compliance.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of services in district by monitoring job quality, job safety, and standard practices.
  • Monitor and control district financial plans, including revenues, headcount, and profitability.
  • Manage equipment usage and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Engage in performance management of subordinate employees to include but not limited to hiring, coaching, counseling, training, and development.
  • Carefully monitor performance of all subordinates through close personal contact to ensure achievement of established performance standards and identify personnel with promotion potential.
  • Communicate effectively with Manager and Human Resources prior to all hires, corrective actions and terminations.
  • Possess a strong technical knowledge of all phases of product lines, including rig-up/down, completions & production.
  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of all aspects of district activity; maintain daily jobs and report data to Area and/or General Manager daily.
  • Responsible for the timely submission of bonus ledgers, time sheets, financial reviews, purchasing cards, Authorization for Expenditures (AFE’s).
  • Complete all required district reports to include financial reporting, forecasting, and weekly job reporting.
  • Ensure effective scheduling for all upcoming jobs and proper crew is assigned.
  • Assist with coordinating equipment rental and/or third-party trucking when necessary.
  • Ensure all repairs and parts are completed on all vehicles daily.
  • Approve and manage Purchase Orders and location bills.
  • Monitor and manage employee DOT logs through electronic logging system.
  • Call on customers as needed to ensure quality customer service.
  • Ensure all paperwork is turned in prior to all deadlines.
  • Ensure that non-eligible drivers are not allowed to drive a Company vehicle.
  • Review mileage/hours of operation of Company vehicles, to ensure proper use, and compliance with the OSES Vehicle Policy.
  • Ensure that vehicles are not assigned without prior approval.
  • Comply with Attendance Standards.
  • Organize and promote effective communication between the Operation Supervisors and the Sales team as well as all employees.
  • Investigate all service quality incidents working along with QA/QC, HSE, Area/General Managers and assign appropriate, effective, corrective actions.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
