About The Position

We are a mid-size franchisee group for Nothing Bundt Cakes, with all bakeries located in California. We are adding multiple new locations and are seeking an experienced and results-driven District Manager to oversee our Southern California region. The District Manager directs multiple bakeries and staff and reports directly to the company President. The District Manager (DM) is responsible for leading and supporting multiple bakery locations within the assigned district to achieve financial, operational, and people-related goals. The DM is responsible for overall operations, including supervising and directing staff, controlling costs, product quality, safety, guest satisfaction, and marketing and fundraising. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coaching teams, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience while upholding the standards of the Nothing Bundt Cakes brand. Requirements

  • 3+ years of multi-unit management experience (restaurant or hospitality preferred)
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Passion for customer service/guest experience
  • Proven ability to drive sales and operational performance
  • Ability to analyze reports and operational metrics

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed district-level, financial targets including labor costs, food costs, and sales.
  • Oversee the Guest Experience. Ensure every bakery delivers a warm guest experience, review guest feedback and implement improvements, lead initiatives to maintain strong OSAT/guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure bakeries are prepared for seasonal promotions, holidays, and high-volume periods.
  • Monitor, control, and adjust business levers in real time to achieve goals.
  • Support bakery managers in recruiting, interviewing and hiring bakery staff for the district.
  • Oversee onboarding and provide ongoing training for all new and existing staff.
  • Be a working manager on the front line with team members as needed.
  • Drive and coordinate with bakery managers to execute promotional, marketing, advertising, and public relations activities.
  • Develop and execute approved marketing incentives and activities for the district.
  • Direct operations to properly maintain all equipment and physical facilities and oversee the security and safety of all bakeries.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all equipment and facilities are in accordance with manufacturer and physical facilities.
  • Oversee/manage cash handling and timely processing of required financial reports.
  • Make or manage bank deposits and/or secure on-premise cash.
  • Ensure bakery managers are adhering to inventory levels, waste, unauthorized “giveaways,” etc. to control the cost of goods, without compromising product quality.
  • Maintain employee files and provide regular reporting.
  • Ensure all bakeries follow brand standards, operational procedures, food safety guidelines and comply with all policies & procedures including, relevant federal and state regulations (safety and environmental standards, OSHA, EPA, Right to Know, EEO, ADA, and other applicant California specific laws and requirements, etc.).
