About The Position

Join Affordable Home Furnishings as a Full-Time District Manager Trainee, where you'll have the opportunity to lead and inspire a team while enhancing your expertise in the rent-to-own industry. This onsite position allows you to thrive in a flexible, energetic environment, focusing on excellence and customer-centricity in our furniture sales and appliance sales sectors. With a competitive compensation package ranging from $55,000 to $65,000, you'll be well-compensated as you learn our system and use your experience to lead the team to success. If you have the ability to attract and retain top talent you will be on your way to managing multiple units and oversee store management responsibilities. As a District Manager Trainee at Affordable Home Furnishings, you'll step into a fast-paced environment where your days will be filled with excitement and growth. You can expect to work a five day week most weeks Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 4 PM with one of those days off and closed on Sunday. Your daily responsibilities will include managing one location and working with an experienced district manager. You'll engage in furniture sales, facilitate collections, and enhance customer service. Additionally, you'll collaborate with store managers and assistant managers to ensure that customer accounts are managed efficiently. Flexibility and adaptability will be key as you participate in various operational tasks, from coaching staff to driving sales and collections performance through consistent practices that ensure success. This hands-on training will prepare you for a successful career in district management.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of management experience
  • Multi-unit management capacity experience
  • Familiarity with the rent-to-own industry
  • Proficiency in sales and collections management
  • Valid chauffeur's license with a good driving record
  • Willingness to engage in heavy lifting
  • Ability to re-locate for opportunity
