About The Position

The District Manager – Quality Assurance & Operations is responsible for supporting janitorial and Environmental Services (EVS) operations across multiple customer locations throughout West Michigan. This position combines quality assurance, client service, employee leadership, training, and hands-on operational support to ensure facilities consistently meet company standards and customer specifications. The District Manager will conduct routine quality inspections, identify and address service deficiencies, support Site Managers and Supervisors, assist with staffing and training, and provide operational coverage when needed. This position will also work closely with the other Managers to resolve operational challenges and maintain strong customer relationships. Because several assigned accounts operate within medical and healthcare environments, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, professionalism, and an understanding of commercial cleaning and EVS standards. This is a field-based position requiring regular travel throughout the West Michigan market and a flexible schedule based on operational needs. The position reports to the District Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Relevant management and industry experience may be considered in lieu of additional education.
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Commercial janitorial, custodial, facilities services, or EVS experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working within medical or healthcare facilities strongly preferred.
• Previous experience supporting multiple locations or accounts is preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality and operational concerns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer-service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with employees, managers, and customers.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while functioning effectively as part of a management team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and general computer applications.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly throughout West Michigan.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends based on customer and operational needs.

• The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader who understands commercial cleaning and quality control and is comfortable working across multiple locations.
• This individual should be able to walk into a facility, recognize service or quality concerns, determine what needs to be corrected, professionally communicate with the customer, coach employees and supervisors, and partner with the District Manager to implement solutions.
• Success in this position requires someone who is organized, accountable, adaptable, customer-focused, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced field environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality assurance inspections at assigned customer locations throughout West Michigan.
• Perform detailed inspections of commercial, medical, and healthcare facilities to ensure cleaning specifications and contractual requirements are consistently met.
• Identify service deficiencies and work with Site Managers, Supervisors, and employees to implement corrective actions.
• Document inspection results accurately and communicate findings to District Management, senior leadership, and customers as appropriate.
• Monitor corrective actions to ensure identified concerns are resolved in a timely manner.
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding service quality, expectations, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in maintaining strong customer relationships through professional communication, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through.
• Assist the District Manager with day-to-day operations across multiple customer accounts.
• Provide leadership and operational support to Site Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and cleaning personnel.
• Fill in for Site Managers or other operational leadership when necessary to maintain continuity of service.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, employee performance, training, onboarding, and other operational needs.
• Maintain regular communication with site leadership to identify and resolve staffing, service, and operational concerns.
• Support new account start-ups and implementation of company policies, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Assist with employee performance issues, coaching, corrective action, and positive reinforcement as appropriate.
• Investigate and assist with employee incidents, accidents, and other operational concerns.
• Ensure required operational documentation and reports are completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Train and coach employees on proper cleaning techniques, EVS procedures, safety practices, company standards, and customer expectations.
• Participate in scheduled safety audits, risk assessments, inspections, and meetings.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable safety standards.
• Conduct or assist with safety and regulatory awareness training.
• Reinforce company culture, professionalism, accountability, and service expectations throughout assigned locations.
