About The Position

The District Manager, Delivery Operations is responsible for overseeing all delivery and installation operations within an assigned district. This leadership role ensures the successful execution of installation projects, efficient routing and scheduling, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and the ongoing development of Planting Crew Managers and field teams. The District Manager serves as a key operational leader, partnering closely with Nursery Management, Sales Teams, Designers, and Installation Crews to ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in delivery, installation, logistics, operations, landscape, construction, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, locations, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and build strong working relationships.
  • Proficiency with technology and operational management systems.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop Planting Crew Managers and installation teams.
  • Personally onboard and train new Planting Crew Managers on company systems, operational procedures, customer service standards, and leadership expectations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Recognize achievements and support team growth through consistent communication and leadership.
  • Oversee all delivery and installation operations throughout the district.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
  • Monitor job progress and proactively resolve operational challenges.
  • Coordinate labor resources and support staffing needs across locations within the district.
  • Assist with scheduling, crew assignments, payroll review, PTO approvals, and workforce planning.
  • Conduct regular field visits and job site inspections to verify quality standards are being met.
  • Ensure proper planting techniques, product placement, and installation procedures are followed.
  • Address quality concerns promptly and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Work to deliver exceptional customer experiences while minimizing preventable issues and callbacks.
  • Collaborate with Sales Professionals, Designers, and Nursery Management to ensure project success.
  • Manage district routing and scheduling to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper utilization of vehicles, equipment, tools, and labor resources.
  • Coordinate backup staffing and transportation resources to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Oversee inventory, equipment accountability, and operational readiness across the district.
  • Support planning and execution of large-scale and complex installation projects.
  • Conduct site evaluations and pre-installation assessments when necessary.
  • Develop installation strategies that ensure successful project completion while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure all materials, equipment, and personnel are prepared prior to project execution.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety throughout all operations.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Enforce safe work practices, vehicle safety standards, equipment usage requirements, and PPE guidelines.
  • Identify and address safety concerns through coaching, corrective action, and continuous training.
  • Monitor performance metrics and operational results throughout the district.
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiency, improved service levels, and cost control.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to operational performance, safety, and personnel matters.
  • Partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve district goals.
