About The Position

The District Program Director (“DPD”) is responsible for the onsite, wound center (“Center”) leadership within RestorixHealth (“RXH” or “Company”) on an interim basis. The DPD represents RXH in an administrative role with regard to hospital administration, hospital departments, panel physicians, referring physicians and other RXH customers. The DPD is responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high quality medical care as well as managing center operations including daily administration of the center, fiscal management, marketing, and community referral development, staffing and staff management, team building, budgeting, revenue cycle management, host-hospital interaction management and physician management in conjunction with the Regional/Program Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare affiliated or business field preferred.
  • Three (3) years’ marketing experience.
  • Three (3) years management experience in a health care setting.
  • Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with all employees and customers.
  • Excellent leadership, delegation, organizational and coordination skills.
  • Strong assessment and analytical decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and effectiveness to educate and market hospital and community physicians and other referral sources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and support mentorship for RXH designated roles (FDC, HBOT, staff nurse, PD)
  • Lead by example and model ideal behaviors while performing all duties and in interactions with staff and providers.
  • Work in collaboration with RXH/hospital Partner Human Resources Department to conduct interviews for prospective staff and determine suitability for hire.
  • Establish performance expectations, provide regular feedback, including input in performance appraisals, and consistently manage these expectations in conjunction with the Regional Director.
  • Coordinate or facilitate training and educational programs in collaboration with other support departments (facility Implementation Team, Revenue Cycle, Human Resources, and Clinical Operations) including but not limited to orientation of new staff, mandatory requirements, developmental needs, and competencies training.
  • Continuously assesses and coordinates the integration of the Center into hospital operations.
  • Services as a liaison between the hospital and the Company.
  • Utilizes interdependent team decision-making to ensure quality of care.
  • Manages resources that promote cost effective, efficient operation of the unit and positive patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and independent decision-making utilizing policies and procedures, standards of care, and data analysis, e.g., manages crisis prevention and intervention at a unit level.
  • Provides written reports to hospital and Company as requested.
  • Administer and uphold all the Company’s values, policies, and procedures.
  • Continuously work towards the Company’s goal and vision
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in continuing education meetings, committees or workgroups and identify needs, both managerially and clinically, and support resources as needed.
  • Continually markets the Center to identify referral sources as identified in the strategic plan, both in-house and in hospitals defined geographic area.
  • Assures all policies and procedures are current and all manuals necessary to operate the Center are current to Company and hospital standards.
  • Be visible in wound clinic and HBO suite aligning supportive documentation for procedures (graft utilization, debridements) and alignment of DRG HBO components in conjunction with clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and staff to develop, implement and manage RXH’s Performance Improvement Plan to improve Quality Outcomes.
  • Support center with timely billing and utilization documentation requirements via EMR including registration, charge posting, and supporting medical documentation notes.
  • Ensure appropriate compliance with Clinical Practice Pathways and initiate, modify and effect unit-based changes in clinical practice to maximize patient outcomes.
  • Review retrospectively monthly outcome report(s) and collaborate with RXH/Hospital Partner to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Continuously assesses patient flow in the Center and hospital and implements improvements as appropriate.
  • Continuously assess revenue cycle and reimbursements for Center services and initiates processes necessary to assure the correct level of reimbursement for the hospital.
  • Facilitates communication between physicians providing care in the Center and between Center physicians and referral sources, and Center physicians and Company medical leadership.
  • Facilitates communication between Center staff, hospital, and Company.
  • Accurately and adequately maintains all required documentation to support patient care, billing, and other Center operations.
