EquipmentShare is hiring a District Field Technician (Mechanic) within our Midland South, TX region. This role involves providing maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company-owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts. Mechanics will have the opportunity to work on the newest equipment in the industry. A sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 may be offered at the manager's discretion based on experience. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after working 40 hours. On-call duty during the weekend is only in special circumstances. As a Field Technician, you’ll use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. With real-time information, you can determine the root cause and corrective action for each issue quickly, enabling you to work smarter, not harder. This role requires practicing safe job practices for repairing equipment, comfortable use of technology (laptops and tablets), and maintenance/repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment. You will also assist in training lower-level technicians, maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) completely and timely on a daily basis, and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts. Field Technicians may be required to travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment and must maintain their service vehicle in a clean and professional manner. Year-round company-provided OEM training is available, along with other assigned duties.
