About The Position

Authors the official court record in a court of limited jurisdiction for District Court traffic and criminal arraignment or civil small claims court proceedings; prepares documents ordered by the court; and performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • One (1) year of work experience in a court or legal setting, which included the preparation and/or processing of legal forms and documents in court proceedings
  • Ability to type at a rate of 40 net words per minute

Nice To Haves

  • Education at an accredited college or university in a paralegal, legal studies, law program, or a closely related field may be substituted on the basis of fifteen (15) semester credits for six (6) months of Specialized Experience up to a maximum of one (1) year.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) year of Specialized Experience.
