About The Position

District Chef needed for school food service program in the Essex County, NJ area. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekends required for catering events. The role operates in a fast-paced team environment and requires culinary experience, including catering and satellite preparation. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel within the district and be able to obtain proper documentation to work in schools. Chef testing will be administered.

Requirements

• ServSafe® certification required.

Responsibilities

• Creating different menus items while adhering to school food service guideline NSLP.
• Inventory and quality control.
• Maintain a clean kitchen.
• Follow safety rules at all times.
