About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated District Chef to join our school food service program in the Bridgewater, NJ area. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with occasional requirements for nights and weekends to support catering events. The role involves creating diverse menu items while strictly adhering to school food service guidelines, including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring food safety standards are met, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Culinary experience is required.
- Experience in catering.
- Experience in satellite preparation.
- ServSafe® certification required.
- Willingness to travel within the school district.
Nice To Haves
- K-12 experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create different menu items while adhering to school food service guidelines NSLP.
