About The Position

The Office of the District Attorney is recruiting for the position of District Attorney Commander to plan, organize, assign and manage, through subordinate supervisors, the activities of sworn and non-sworn staff in one or more criminal and/or civil investigative units within the Bureau of Investigation. Official Job Title: District Attorney Commanding Investigator.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current CA P.O.S.T. Supervisory Certificate or higher.
  • Associate's Degree (or equivalent units) from an accredited university or college in Criminal Justice, Administration of Justice, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Social Science or closely related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in San Bernardino County as a District Attorney Supervising Investigator.
  • A valid California Class C Driver License is required.
  • Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
  • This recruitment is only open to current San Bernardino County, Office of the District Attorney, Bureau of Investigation employees. Your current County employment must be listed in your work history.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Administration of Justice, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Social Science or closely related field is preferred.
