The District Asset Protection Manager partners with the District Manager and store leadership to drive the execution of store operating systems, policies, procedures, and processes. This role works directly with district and store leaders to create a strategy and action plan that will address opportunities to improve the customer experience while controlling expenses and maximizing margins. The position is responsible for teaching and training store operations managers on all aspects of their role, building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and managing a diverse team of asset protection professionals within a multi-store geographical area. The role involves managing investigations, conducting interviews, supporting post-prosecution activities, and representing Lowe’s in court. The District Asset Protection Manager identifies and addresses internal or external theft and Organized Retail Crime concerns, leads teams during emergency response situations, and provides feedback and mentorship to team members and leaders. This role owns, forecasts, and manages financial accounts for key controllable expenses, trains store personnel on proper reporting, and evaluates compliance with safety, security, and hazmat documentation. The position also coaches associates on processes impacting the customer experience, partners with leadership to resolve facilities and maintenance issues, and performs store visits to improve performance and efficiencies. The role influences store operations by driving adoption of operational programs and system enhancements, analyzes safety reporting to identify trends, and analyzes data to identify and address shrink-related issues. The District Asset Protection Manager reviews and validates critical operational processes impacting in-stock levels and inventory accuracy, delivers consistent reporting, provides trend analysis, and supports stores in improving financial performance. Additionally, this role analyzes facilities-related P&L line items to identify cost drivers and partners with store management to reduce controllable expenses and improve financial performance. The position executes facilities emergency response protocols to support stores during critical incidents.
