About The Position

Position Summary This part-time position (average 15 hours per week for 52 weeks) oversees and manages District Administrator (Superintendent) licensure program. The position also requires the Instructional Staff member to teach four (low-enrolled) classes or two full-enrolled District Administrator classes per academic year (EDG6150 The Superintendency, EDG6155 Professional Ethics, EDG6160 Organizational and Policy Development, EDG6165 School Improvement and Data Analysis, EDG6170 Public Relations, or EDG 6175 Facility Planning). The District Administrator Instructional Staff member reports directly to the Educational Administrator Program Director.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and provide solution-oriented support
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative, multi-campus team
  • Skilled in the use of computers and software common to the academic environment, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google products
  • Familiarity with learning management systems, especially Canvas
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with exceptional attention to detail
  • Commitment to remote advising, virtual student support, and familiarity with online learning environments
  • Dedication to Concordia University's mission of developing students in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)
  • Educational Specialist degree required; doctorate preferred
  • District Administrator (Superintendent) license
  • District Administrator experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, direction and overall administration of the programs that lead to #5003 District Administrator (Superintendent) License and Specialist certificate
  • Take initiative and implement a student recruitment plan
  • Administer and assess student, faculty, and program data
  • Provide student advising support
  • Align courses to current state requirements incorporating best practices, standards, instructional materials and tools
  • Foster and encouragement enrollment into CUW's doctoral program in Leadership in Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Provide oversight or assign university supervisor for internship experiences
  • Participate in regular standing meetings with Educational Administrator Program Director
  • Perform other duties as assigned
