About The Position

Performs duties under the supervision of the Manager/Supervisor of the Food Center/Central Warehouse. Responsible for unloading and loading trucks, cutting, and moving stock. Decisions are made within the limits of established practices, policies, and procedures with a supervisor available to handle unusual situations. Work with volunteers to provide direction and support during volunteer shifts.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software including Outlook.
• Ability to interact with others in a professional, polite, and courteous manner.
• Strong commitment to civil and human rights.
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Good knowledge of general warehouse duties
• Knowledge of proper lifting procedures.
• Certification for driving Hilo or ability to attain certification.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• High school graduate or equivalent training, education, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from semi-trailers/trucks.
• Drive Hi-lo to move stock from storage to distribution area.
• Stock and replenish distribution area as needed.
• Build and stage packed food boxes at pick up areas.
• Assist in maintenance of building and grounds.
• Support and direct volunteers on stock replenishment, proper packing and staging procedures.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Assist participants with loading food boxes vehicles.
