About The Position

The Distribution Technician performs and supports operational functions including quality control, label inspection and separation, packaging, special instructions, and shipping. The role helps meet customer delivery deadlines while maintaining quality standards. The night-shift schedule is Sunday through Tuesday, 8:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., and Wednesday, 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Overtime or work on another shift may be required as needed. Regular attendance is essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand for two-thirds to all of the shift.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel for one-third to two-thirds of the shift.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms for one-third to two-thirds of the shift.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds for one-third to two-thirds of the shift.
• Close vision sufficient for clear vision at 20 inches or less.
• Color vision sufficient to identify and distinguish colors.
• Ability to comply with company policies, including drug-free workplace and safety policies.
• Ability to embody and reflect Vestcom's core values.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, separate, slot, and package label and print products accurately.
• Maintain quality control standards.
• Use the ERP system to record time and materials accurately.
• Ensure shipments are completed and sent to the correct person or place according to the daily job schedule, lead or supervisor instructions, job tickets, or customer special instructions.
• Communicate printing, laminating, or shipping problems and quality issues to appropriate individuals.
• Double-check shipments leaving the production facility for errors before they reach the customer.
• Communicate with courier companies and drivers about shipping delays, special courier deliveries, and other issues that may affect customer deliveries, as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; use required PPE and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Work overtime or another shift as needed.
