This position directly supervises, coaches, and assists Regional Distribution System Operations personnel involved in the daily real-time operation. The successful candidate will maintain a high level of safety commitment, supervise activities including the direction of field crews in the operation and maintenance of the electrical distribution system, and ensure compliance with appropriate policies and procedures for real-time dispatch operations. Responsibilities also include supervising real-time utilization of Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distribution Management System (DMS), contingency analysis, and system analysis resources for assessing system conditions. The role involves conducting quarterly performance reviews, executing the performance management process by providing feedback and coaching, and initiating/conducting investigations into reliability, safety conditions, and incidents. The supervisor will also develop contingency plans for service restoration and emergency plans for storm-related interruptions, equipment failures, or labor unrest, and supervise the maintenance of operating documentation, record keeping, and operator shift schedules. Participation in operational meetings across the Ohio footprint is expected, and the role may require working weekends, extended days, and/or travel for storm response.
