About The Position

This position will report directly to the Manager, Receiving & Distribution. This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of all material, equipment, and supplies received within the PeopleSoft information system. This position will be responsible for the judicious and precise reconciliation of all receiving and distribution discrepancy reports. This position may be called upon to ensure the timely receiving and distribution of supplies within the Shands Jacksonville Medical Center campus.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and strong problem-solving ability.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience transacting receipts in at least 1 financial/inventory management system in a fast-paced environment (AccountMate, Lawson, etc.) Prior experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
• Strong skills with computer based operating systems, preferably Microsoft Outlook, Calendar, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
• Strong customer service skills to interface effectively across multiple departments.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems with receiving discrepancies.
• Experience with hand-held scanners and data entry devices.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be multi task oriented.
• Valid Florida or Georgia Drivers license with clean record, or violations not exceeding maximum points as provided in hospital policy is required for candidate who work in the Shipping and Receiving department only.
• 1-2 years Inventory transaction (receiving), and strong computer systems experience.

Nice To Haves

• At least three years of inventory transaction experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
