About The Position

The Distribution Team Lead assists the DC Supervisor in meeting daily productivity requirements. This role involves preparing the majority of pick and pack orders for shipment using an electronic radio frequency scanner. The individual will maintain awareness of incoming product and availability, communicate with supervisors and case pick material handlers regarding product needs and quality issues, and follow shipping instructions. This position also requires assisting with other areas of Distribution and performing other duties as assigned. Key functions include product recognition for accurate matching of product codes, operating a stand-up lift/forklift (certification required), and working overtime as needed. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with a strong attention to detail and a good working knowledge of departmental operations. The ability to use RF Scanners and previous experience operating power equipment such as a forklift or rider jack are necessary. The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, sit, walk long distances, push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, read, and write. A history of excellent attendance and workplace safety is mandatory. A high school diploma plus 1-2 years of prior experience with team lead responsibilities and the ability to work well with other team members are required. The work schedule is first shift, 6 am to 2 pm, with the required ability to work overtime and occasional weekend hours.
