The Distribution System Operator is responsible for receiving outage calls and coordinating the restoration of electric service to members. This role also involves receiving calls during and after hours from members regarding their electric service and monitoring various cooperative systems to ensure the stability of the electric distribution system. The position primarily involves night and weekend hours after a six-month introductory training period, with the expectation of being available for call-ins during major outages or emergencies, and reporting to work during inclement weather. Occasional overnight travel and overtime may be required.
