About The Position

As the Distribution Supervisor for our Allentown, PA site, you will lead the daily operations and personnel of a fast-paced distribution center. You will be responsible for setting clear performance standards, mentoring your team, and driving the operational excellence needed to meet our site goals. Beyond people leadership, you will ensure the facility operates with total integrity by maintaining strict compliance with all company procedures and government regulations—including ISO, GMP, OSHA, DEA, and DOT. This is a high-impact role where your ability to balance operational efficiency with safety and regulatory standards is key to our success in the Life Sciences industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 15+ years of supervisory experience OR Bachelor's degree in any discipline and 12+ years of supervisory experience
  • External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

  • Master’s degree in any discipline
  • 15+ years of experience working in a warehouse
  • Operational experience in a Distribution Center or in Chemical Manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Train employees and maintain corporate quality systems, including ISO registration
  • Participate in the talent selection process
  • Engage in performance management and accountability discussions to develop and retain employees
  • Resolve and maintain employee relations through effective communication for the area including, team meetings and daily interaction
  • Enforce company safety, work, and housekeeping standards
  • Evaluate processes and methods, recommend, and implement measures to improve safety
  • Review chemical handling precautions and ensure employees are trained on safe handling of hazardous chemicals
  • Participate as an active member of the emergency hazardous materials response team, medical response team or evacuation team
  • Recognize and initiate near miss reports; complete accident/incident investigation reports
  • Conduct audits for compliance to procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Develop and maintain training documents and SOPs in assigned areas
  • Monitor resources daily and schedule workload and staff accordingly for assigned area to maximize safety, quality, and productivity
  • Maintain required documentation including unit records, productivity, and activity reports
  • Monitor labor and materials to control costs
  • Lead, initiate, promote, and actively participate in process improvement initiatives and cross functional teams resulting in safety, quality, productivity, and cost saving improvements
  • Ensure the correct chemicals are received, stored, packed, and shipped to meet customer’s expectations and in compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Ensure all packages conform to legal requirements for storage, and shipping of hazardous materials (DOT, CFR, IATA and IMO) as well as corporate and Factory Mutual policies
