As the Distribution Supervisor at nVent in Dayton, MN, you'll lead a diverse team supporting inbound operations across multiple shifts. Requirements

  • Ideally, 3 years of experience leading teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of distribution processes, lean manufacturing/continuous improvement principles, ERP/WMS systems, handheld devices, and freight carriers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing and occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching/stooping.
  • Full use of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials used in the production processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day inbound operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives that significantly increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Take a strategic approach to planning—daily, weekly, and monthly—prioritizing work, setting clear timelines, and allocating resources to successfully deliver departmental goals.
  • Lead and empower a high-performing warehouse team in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Through visible leadership on the floor, foster a positive and productive work culture while developing team members through effective training, coaching, performance feedback, and consistent support—motivating employees to meet and exceed performance targets.
