About The Position
Internship with the Southwestern Public Service Company distribution planning team focusing on Texas and New Mexico. This internship provides a great introduction into distribution planning while supporting significant build out across the territory. The internship will be based out of Lubbock, TX.
Requirements
- Current student, Sophomore or higher
- Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities
- Interns will be supporting distribution planners through: Modeling distribution circuits
- Load flow analysis
- Databricks integration
- Long range planning documentation development
