Our crop protection site located in Valdosta, GA has an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Operator to join our team.

Requirements

  • High School/GED or equivalent.
  • Have a current, valid, United States driver's license.
  • Pass a drug screen, background history, and other relevant screens if job offer is received and accepted.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Work a rotating shift and/or overtime.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Obtain necessary certifications as needed.
  • Work legally in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
  • Use standard safety equipment which is rated for 300 pounds or less.
  • Pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.
  • Perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms or other hazard warnings.
  • Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Wear a uniform and safety equipment, such as hardhat, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Safely operate fork trucks, condors, and/or site vehicles.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to work in environments that include: tight or closed-in spaces, climb stairs/ladders and working at heights, stand or walk for extended periods of time, frequent bending and reaching, outdoors and in inclement weather.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant trade school training or technical background.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing or relevant military experience.

Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming shipments, verify delivery documents, and inspect products for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues to supervisors to ensure only approved stock enters the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate records of all merchandise, perform regular audits, and use inventory software to track stock levels, ensure efficient storage and retrieval. May use warehouse management systems (SAP) to track stock levels and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Pick items according to order lists, pack them securely, label shipments, and prepare goods for dispatch, ensure compliance with shipping requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize inventory safely within the warehouse.
  • Assist in training new employees and providing support to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse.
  • Strategically store merchandise and label products for easy identification and inventory control.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintain a clean work environment, and follow proper procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and transport teams to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods, and report any equipment malfunctions or shipment issues.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks and assist with special projects or seasonal tasks.
