Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training program and pass the forklift certification.
Effectively read, write and speak English.
Strong math and configuration skills are necessary
Ability to analyze situations and make the best decision which benefits the company without jeopardizing the health and well-being of the employee.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of six months experience in a palletized warehouse environment is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills are required.
Certification is preferred but is not required at the time of hire. All distribution operators will be provided with company approved P.I.T. training /certification at the start of employment.

Responsibilities

Moving materials to and from proper storage areas by operating a small industrial vehicle.
Complying with Safety work rules at all times and reinforcing Safety as a Core Value.
Ensuring that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.
Attending pre-shift meetings, including stretching as a group.
Driving forklift in a safe and productive manner.
Completing the daily forklift inspection and removing the lift from service if a defect is detected.
Shipping and receiving product damage free and accurately by completing the Quality Reassurance Checks.
Monitoring the floor for safety concerns or infractions and acting appropriately.
Completing all documents and paperwork completely and accurately.
Filling customer orders accurately and following the customer’s special instructions.
Working closely with the office staff to ensure discrepancies and issues are completed accurately.
Ensuring warehouse is organized, clean, damages are taken care of and pallets are off the floor and placed into bins.
Promoting teamwork within your team and between teams by communicating in a positive and pleasant manner.
Adhering to safe work practices, following GMP’s, maintaining sanitary conditions and ensuring that product quality is maintained. Reporting to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhering to all safety policies and procedures and incorporating safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
Adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Performing other duties as assigned.
