About The Position

This position is accountable for managing all Warehousing activities for the Moreno Valley, CA Distribution Service Center while implementing, maintaining, and supporting continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Productivity, Service, Cost, Quality and People. This position is also responsible for maintaining our Labor Management Systems, AWACS, and continuous improvement efforts for the facility by using the tools of Six Sigma, and focusing on customer needs. This position is also accountable for developing their department leadership team.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Have a degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or other related field preferred.
  • Have formal training and/or experience with continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, or Transactional Lean, etc
  • Have experience managing in a 24/7 manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Have Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment.
  • Have demonstrated leadership, team building, employee development, and employee relations skills.
  • Have a proven track record of results in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment.
  • Have analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Have demonstrated understanding of supply chain systems, safety systems and programs

Responsibilities

  • Determine and establish procedures, programs, and reports to maintain and improve safety, housekeeping, quality, productivity and employee morale.
  • Determine, manage, and achieve Moreno Valley budget.
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Manage direct reports to achieve budgeted safety, productivity, service, quality, and cost goals.
  • Direct and oversee those activities that ensure the Moreno Valley facility is capable of meeting all pertinent requirements (regulatory, corporate, group, production, etc.).
  • Seek out and establish cost improvement projects.
  • Ensure shipments are distributed in compliance with V.O.C. State regulatory laws.
  • Ensure Hazardous Material shipments are properly handled, loaded, packed, and marked in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Providing a positive and motivating atmosphere through consistent and effective communication with all employees.
