Distribution Manager - Greenville
About The Position
This position reports to the Hub Plant Manager. The Distribution Manager will plan and control all cylinder movement into and out of the facility, ensure the efficient routing and dispatch of trucks from the facility, and maintain compliance with all DOT regulations. The role also ensures all trucks are maintained per Fleet Services guidelines, performs driver training and observations, and adheres to all company safety policies to help drive the safety culture at the facility. This role manages a unit or function that is part of a larger function, follows established organizational policies, develops procedures, and recommends policies. Decisions involve translating the Division's goals and objectives into unit objectives, defined work assignments and projects, conducting and implementing actions, and short-term planning.
Requirements
- Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, VISO, PowerPoint and MS Outlook
- Familiarity with Federal, state and local regulatory agencies (CFR, OSHA, EPA, SAHRA and DOT)
- Knowledge of the Specialty, medical and industrial cylinder industry
- Knowledge of Manufacturing of industrial, medical, and specialty gases including pure gases, gas blends, hydrocarbon blends or similar manufacturing fields
- Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing
