We anticipate the need for one or more 5th Step Apprentice/Journeyman Linemen to be located at the Pipestone, MN. The base rate of pay for Journeyman Lineman is $62.27 hourly according to the “Exhibit A” wage scale. A 5th Step Apprentice will be coming in at 70% of the Journeyman rate of pay at $49.82, 85% at 6th Step, 90% at 7th Step, or 95% at an 8th Step. This position will be posted for 10 working days from June 30, 2026, to July 14, 2026.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Degree/diploma from an accepted Line School.
  • Meet driver qualification requirements, including the possession of a valid Commercial Class A Driver's License.
  • Physically capable of performing all aspects of electric overhead and underground distribution construction, operations, and maintenance work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Presently qualified to be a 5th Step Apprentice Lineman or higher.
  • Self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work safely and productively.
  • Must live within a 20-mile radius of the assigned Service Center.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of the Lineman Classification.
  • Work on overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Participate in after-hours emergency callouts.
