About The Position

Responsible for conducting and coordinating distribution line training, procuring, inspecting and testing tools and equipment, conducting investigations and answering customer complaints. Position is posted at multiple levels, and the selected individual will be brought in at the level appropriate based on education and experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in distribution line or distribution engineering, or equivalent related experience, including good working knowledge of distribution operations activities. (For SG 06)
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in distribution line or distribution engineering, or equivalent related experience, including good working knowledge of distribution operations activities. (For SG 07)
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in distribution line or distribution engineering, or equivalent related experience (to include previous supervisory experience), including good working knowledge of distribution operations activities. (For SG 08)
  • Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to deal with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Valid State Driver’s license.
  • Availability and flexibility to assist with storm restoration locally and within other markets.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience (for SG 08)

Responsibilities

  • Investigate damage complaints and prepare reports detailing findings and make recommendations to resolve complaints. The damage complaints may include but not be limited to: service quality, high or low voltage, landscape damage caused by company equipment or personnel, etc.
  • Assist with pre-checking jobs, customer contacts, work with stores, distribution crews and applicable supervision to secure and provide the necessary tools and equipment for the crew personnel.
  • Support technical training needs when requested and coordinate training with technical trainers if needed.
  • Conduct distribution line training as needed.
  • Inspect and test distribution line tools and equipment.
  • Promote and enforce the Company's Accident Prevention, Safety and Health Programs, and assist line crews on jobs as required for work area protection and ground worker assistance.
  • Support service restoration activities and assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
