About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Distribution Handler 1 at Big Tex Mt. Pleasant in Mount Pleasant, TX. The role involves ensuring the proper use of PPE, cutting and building shipping blocks with various tools, using a torque wrench to remove tires from trailers, moving inspected trailers to storage areas using tractors or forklifts, pulling and stacking trailers for shipping, and loading trucks with trailers for shipment.
Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 40+ pounds.
- Continuously exposed to outside temperatures and weather.
- Continuously exposed to a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Appropriate usage of all required PPE.
- Ensure that shipping blocks are cut and built using circular saws, air nailers, and other various hand tools.
- Ability to use a torque wrench in order to remove tires from specific trailers.
- Move inspected trailers out of inspection and to designated storage areas using tractors or forklifts as required.
- Pull trailers and stack for shipping using safe stacking and loading practices.
- Load trucks with trailers for shipment.
