TRC is hiring a Distribution Engineer I to work within its Power Distribution engineer team as part of its growing Power Sector. The Distribution Engineer I will be responsible for performing complex detailed design of underground electric distribution systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university required.
• Ability to handle contacts with clients and other agencies in connection with project design responsibilities.
• Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership and technical capability to perform to job responsibilities.
• 0 - 2 years of underground and/or overhead distribution engineering experience.
• Experience working with SDG&E preferred.
• Experience working in field and office preferred.

Nice To Haves

• EIT is Preferred or working towards earning EIT.

Responsibilities

• Performing complex detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems.
• Preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Performing detailed design work including the preparation of drawings, specifications, and estimates for review and approval by the responsible engineer.
• Performing with a minimum of supervision, a variety of design related duties including, but not limited to, the following: Prepare manual or computer assisted design and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and a minimum of errors.
• Performing design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry and Company standards covering the assigned work.
• Assisting in the preparation of overhead and/or underground engineering calculations and analysis.
• Coordinating equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
