About The Position

The Distribution Driver Class A delivers products to clients and customer locations, including bars, restaurants, and hotels. The role includes inspecting, preparing, loading, unloading, operating, and cleaning the vehicle while following Southern Glazer’s and Department of Transportation safety guidelines. Drivers also review standing orders, develop sales, process payments, and maintain required records. The position may require flexible hours, including overnight, early morning, or late evening work, and additional hours during peak periods.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
Department of Transportation (DOT) certification.
Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

Deliver products statewide to bars, restaurants, hotels, and other customer locations.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Receive payment for delivered goods.
Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery.
Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously at all times.
Check in money and returned goods daily with Driver Check-in and the Accounting Cashier.
Complete required daily paperwork, including the DOT logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
Meet company uniform standards.
Follow safety regulations and perform duties safely.
Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary transportation documents.
Load and unload cargo, use safety equipment, and secure cargo in compliance with safety requirements.
Report incidents to the dispatcher.
Follow all traffic laws.
Keep the vehicle, product, and equipment tidy and in good working order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
