About The Position

This role involves identifying improvements and major repair needs on the distribution system, assessing the cost/benefit of performance improvements, and determining priorities. The engineer will provide engineering support for customer additions requiring substantial distribution system changes, plan system improvements based on customer needs, and engineer circuit changes to enhance performance. Responsibilities include reviewing daily interruption reports, analyzing projected circuit deficiencies (e.g., voltage, overloads), and developing alternatives to improve circuit reliability. The position also involves recommending equipment replacement versus repair to maximize Return on Asset (ROA) and participating in major restoration efforts, including Emergency Preparedness. For the Senior role, additional responsibilities include leading three-state initiatives, developing training guides, mentoring and training other engineers, attending industry conferences, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for distribution tools and engineering. The Senior role also involves leadership opportunities for three-state engineering initiatives.
