About The Position

In this role, you will support the Distribution Supervisor by providing day-to-day guidance and work direction to Warehouse Associates. Your responsibilities will include ensuring deliveries are organized and loaded safely and efficiently, and that delivery teams are debriefed at the end of their shifts. You will also assist in collecting, entering, and communicating data for KPIs and recognition programs. Understanding all aspects of picking, receiving, and home delivery operations, and providing assistance as needed, is crucial. You will liaise and follow up with operations, sales, customer service, and customers on any issues or problems. Additionally, you will provide support to Delivery Teams during daily preps and deliveries, and complete manifest releasing. Managing the routing system and delivery runs, and equipment sign-out are also key duties. You will conduct and reconcile distribution issues impacting inventory, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. In the absence of a Supervisor (e.g., afternoon/evening shifts, vacation coverage), you will act in a supervisory/team lead capacity. You will also provide training and orientation for new Associates and work on various project initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • A college diploma in a related field.
  • Must have strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to deal with various internal/external stakeholders on issues and discrepancies (i.e.., order mix-ups, non deliveries, manifest errors).
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects or assignments as well as interacting with Management, Associates, customers and vendors

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of leadership and/or supervisor experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, delivery, and inventory (cycle counts, return to vendor process) is a definite asset.
  • Knowledgeable and understanding of provincial transportation and policies is an asset (ex. log books, trip inspections, checking them over making sure they are correct and up to date, etc...).

Responsibilities
