About The Position

This position is focused on performing duties within a manufacturing environment, specifically in the areas of Distribution and Inventory. All tasks must be executed according to established standards and in compliance with company and governing body policies. Regular attendance and availability for overtime are required. The role demands the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and regularly work with and communicate with others in a team.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence in English.
• Basic ability to add, subtract, understand decimal numerical sequencing, and accurately compare number and letter sequences.
• Requires use of close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Capable of coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach with arms.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement/interpret goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the organization, multi-task, prioritize, and use good judgment.
• Able to stand in one place for 10-12 hours a day.
• Capable of completing activities that include repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Match and verify incoming frames to work orders.
• Remove lenses from frames, operate tracing machines, mark lenses for axis orientation, and calibrate tracing machines.
• Match frames and lenses to ensure timely launch and prioritization of product.
• Scan trays to prepare invoices, match invoices numerically to tray numbers, wrap finished jobs, sort numerically by account number, and close boxes with appropriate labels for shipping.
• Place lenses in correct inventory locations and rotate stock.
• Pick appropriate lenses from shelves and use work tickets to verify correctness for the job.
• Manage lenses, create lens orders to send to suppliers, and assist customer service with lens availability.
• Perform necessary steps to send or receive lens orders within the supporting EssilorLuxottica lab network.
