About The Position

The Trainer is responsible for leading training and development activities across the Distribution Center. This role ensures associates are properly trained in operational processes, safety requirements, standard methods, and performance expectations. The Trainer also supports Process Control initiatives by monitoring method adherence, identifying training gaps, and partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Human Resources to drive performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in warehouse or distribution center operations preferred.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and training skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Operations, Engineering, HR, and Leadership.
  • Comfortable working on the floor and analyzing operational data.
  • Minimum 1-year related experience
  • High School Diploma required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain training records and the DC training database.
  • Coordinate and deliver new hire, cross-training, refresher, safety, and procedural training.
  • Maintain training curves, cross-training matrices, and associate feedback records.
  • Ensure associates understand standard methods, safety practices, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor and reinforce adherence to standard work methods.
  • Identify and address performance gaps through observation, coaching, and feedback.
  • Partner with leadership to support associate development and operational performance.
  • Support Engineering projects involving new materials, equipment, and process improvements.
  • Assist in documenting, testing, and implementing new methods and standard work practices.
  • Incorporate safety standards into all training programs.
  • Participate in process audits and safety initiatives.
  • Crosstrain in key operational functions and provide floor support as needed.
  • Assist with operational initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism, safety, and standard work.
