About The Position

Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a 1st Shift Distribution Center Supervisor. This role is onsite at our Roanoke, VA facility which is an Assembly Operation and Distribution Center. 1st shift hours are 6AM - 3:30PM. Relocation is not provided for this position. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three years of leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Management or Supply Chain.
Five years of leadership experience.
Warehouse Management System and SAP experience.
Previous warehouse / distribution center / order picking / shipping / receiving experience.
Lean / six sigma experience.
Knowledge and experience operating power industrial trucks in everyday use and limitations.

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily activities of the distribution center floor operations, motivating your team to ensure that operations are safe, accurate and productive.
Provide support to your team by ensuring timely answers to questions or by steering them to the appropriate information sources, and by providing a workplace where team members can grow and develop.
Help interview and select new members for your team and assure that new or transferred team members are adequately trained to meet the requirements of their roles.
Manage time and attendance for your team.
Offer counseling and coaching regarding things such as performance and company policy.
Be an active member of the site’s leadership team and help to support site initiatives and operational changes.
Engage your team to identify opportunities to improve processes and will be a champion for change.
Track and or create performance indicators to improve operations and the ability to service the customer.
