About The Position

Ellsworth Corporation, a global distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment, is hiring a Distribution Center Specialist for its Specialty Chemical Distribution Division in the Spartanburg area of South Carolina. The role combines core distribution center functions with advanced warehousing and order-processing services, performed daily or as needed with little or no supervision. The position is based in a clean, organized, climate-controlled, and safe warehouse environment. It offers first-shift hours and above-market wages. Requirements

At least 1 year of related industrial experience and/or training.
High school diploma or equivalency (GED or HSED).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience using MS Office programs and warehouse software.
Ability to understand, comprehend, and execute highly complex processes and systems.
Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and partners.
Proficiency in advanced warehousing and order-processing services such as hazardous-material shipping, inventory control, international order processing, and order preparation.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification is a plus; stand-up forklift experience is highly preferred.
IATA (International Air Transport Association) knowledge is strongly preferred.
DOT hazardous materials experience is preferred.
Flexibility to adapt to different parts of a distribution center is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform distribution center receiving, picking, shipping, and documentation functions.
Support operations by stocking products, conducting cycle counts, operating power equipment, and labeling products.
Perform advanced warehousing and order-processing services, including hazardous-material shipping, inventory control, international order processing, and order preparation.
