Distribution Center Recycling Support
About The Position
Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-Time DC Recycling Support, you will assist in the facility maintenance for our in-house cardboard, plastic, metals and wood pallets, helping to reduce our Distribution Center's carbon footprint. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
- Willingness to stand for extended periods of time
- Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

- Previous forklift experience
Responsibilities
- Determining proper disposal methods
- Separating waste from recyclable materials
- Sorting pallets and ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of the facility
- Operating and performing basic maintenance of balers
- Following proper recycling techniques and facility rules/guidelines
- Working towards improving our "Think Green" environment
- Maintaining the cleanliness/organization of work area
- Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
- Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
- Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
