About The Position

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Rail Loader to support the Distribution Center team. This role will be responsible for loading Rails, occasional need for loading Trucks, and must be able to understand how to pick. The job will require overtime, which could include more than 40 hours per week, 7 days a week and up to 12 hour days. Will be required to learn and use multi computer skills which are paramount to the team’s success. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by supervisory, management and union representatives.

Requirements

Must have a valid Forklift driver license
Must be able to work with computer software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Dashpad
Must be able to twist, reach, bend, lift a minimum of 50 pounds, push 50 pounds, pull 50 pounds and climb as needed
Must be multi-skilled for a variety of tasks and be able to handle daily decision making that affects the team
Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED
Ability to operate complex machinery in the achievement of Sanitation goals
Ability to execute and manage a clean-up plan
Ability to troubleshoot problems, determine cause and resolve problem with assistance
Ability to understand and comply with quality assurance standards
Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and make immediate corrective action
Must be able to work independently and with limited supervision
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Must be located in Bradenton, FL, surrounding area, or willing to relocate for the duration of employment
Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis
Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

Loading Rails
Occasional need for loading Trucks
Understanding how to pick
Full Rail Car preparation (pre-load), including opening car doors, cleaning out car, setting up car for loading
Rail Car Dunnage preparation, separation (serviceable from non-serviceable), organization, disposal, inventory checks, and staging
Track and dock sanitation, including cleaning & sorting equipment, lumber, and rail bed
Setting temperature for refer units
Participating in continuous improvement process (Why-Why & 7-step process meetings) to eliminate losses or waste, including safety issues
Assisting in correcting equipment problems quickly and on time
Demonstrating teamwork, sharing information freely, cooperating with others, listening and encouraging others, asking for input, and acknowledging others' skills, experience, and contributions
Willingness to continuously improve the team’s ability to meet customer’s requirements at the lowest cost
